I’m an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC), where I’ve been based since 2015. My research sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, virtual and mixed reality, sensor systems, and brain-based measures for evaluating human performance and experience, with a particular interest in how these technologies can be applied in areas like firefighting, education, and health. I also serve as the Director of Digital Learning for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and care a lot about finding better ways to teach and support students. When I’m not in the lab or the classroom, you’ll usually find me tinkering with something that probably didn’t need tinkering with.
