The Robots Will Rule: Improving Coursework Marking and Feedback Through an Automated System

Abstract

The increasing demand for timely and constructive feedback in higher education has led to the development of automated assessment systems. This paper presents an automated system designed to improve coursework marking and feedback. The system provides immediate, personalized feedback, reducing instructor workload while enhancing student learning experiences. Findings from a pilot study indicate that automated feedback can improve student engagement and satisfaction while maintaining grading accuracy and fairness.
